'All animals are created equal, but some animals are more equal than others.'

'They looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, but already it was imposssible to say which was which.'

The above quotes are from George Orwell's 'Animal farm'

40% ot the population is unemployed and the money there has about as much value as toilet paper has, here in the USA.

Thabo Mbeki - South African President, who is the proud owner of his own private jet - Inkwazi - is building a plush retirement home at a cost of 22m rand for himself.
South african politicians have been charged with crimes ranging from rape to embezzlement.

"We have deliberately allowed the ANC to bring back the language of of racial categorisation."

"I had hoped for something much better. The current government spends like a drunken sailor"

smitty - you know your boxing so stick to that. My question lays out facts.
The only thing you know about South Africa is what you saw you in 'Lethal Weapon 2'.
I was born and raised there.

Nelson Mandela is not a great leader - merely a pragmatic one, who knew it was in his and the country's interests to keep whites around. They were the ones that owned and understood all the technology that ran the country at the time. Apartheid had made sure of that.

He never lifted a finger to combat the escalating aids epidemic.

Look at South Africa now.

I am prejudiced towards those that pretend to help others to enrich themselves and those that venture forth an opinion on subjects they know absolutely nothing about.

Sonskyn - a name like that and you use such language! I'm not an a**hole by the way, I'm a dick.
America has crime - yes - but we on the other hand, have an effective police force
to take care of it. Both of us can't say that, can we?
We also don't have a government that's responsible for a massive AIDS epidemic, that has resulted in gangs of men raping children, hoping to be cured.

You may want to read 'Animal Farm' - there might be an Afrikaans edition.
You guys have been living for so long in that cesspool - some even born into it - that you can't tell the difference anymore.

Alf - the Newsday piece lays out the larger reason for your helpless dilemma.

South Africa, it seems, is held hostage by the same politically correct brainwashing that the USA is - though on a much larger scale, and with much more at stake.

Political correctness is the 21st century equivalent of The Dark Ages.

No one seems to have done the mathematics on this one. As of a 2001 census, South africa has plus/minus 50 000 000 people in it.
With the AIDS epidemic claiming plus/minus 5.3 million people annually, and with more and more babies being born HIV positive - the majority of them black - how long do you think it will be before there are no more black people left in South Africa?

That's not a joke, by the way.

I agree with what you say about the USA keeping its nose out of your business, by the way.
If it could have done that in the 70s and 80s, you guys would not be living in the toilet you are now.

wagbietjie - you're back? Didn't get enough the first time?

P.S. - your statistics are completely wrong on unemployment - or you're lying.

Like I said - plus/minus 50 000 000 - thanks for clarifying it.

Security is provided for every ex-head of state - even here in the USA - however the 22m rand cost of the house payed for by 'the Mbeki family' comes by way of the South African taxpayer.
Notice you didn't touch the issue of the private jet.

And why are you changing the issue of South African crime and economy statistics to one about America's?
Is it because, unlike S.A., we don't have the problem of the gang rape of children here?

That was relatively easy - aren't you getting tired of me making a fool of you every time you open your mouth?

2006-09-19 04:08:54 · update #16

Wagbietjie - you're such an easy mark - PLEASE don't stop replying to my questions.

If we go with your figure of R8m - the question still remains - where did the 'Mbeki family' come up with that kind of dough?
Whoops.
Your census figures on South Africa actually gel better with my AIDS stats - we'll go with yours.

Let's wait and see whether Mbeki leaves his jet for 'the next head of state' - or whether that 'head of state' decides he needs his very own mode of airline transportation.

Why oh why do you keep changing the subject of South African crime statistics to that of America's. Haven't you figured out yet that I'm onto that little game of smoke and mirrors?
Probably not.

Next.

2006-09-19 04:57:18 · update #17

And for all you poor schmucks without a job in what used to be South Africa - statistics on unemployment are very unreliable for SA - probably higher than the 40% I quoted.
What IS certain, however, is that South Africa has one of the highest unemployment rates in the world.

Stew on that while you look for work.

2006-09-19 05:28:36 · update #18

wagbietjie - you are a dangerous fool.

Possibly the money for the Mbeki's lavish retirement home is coming from the same source that Zanele Mbeki used to draw from to pay for the R440 000 house she purchased from the Dept. of Public Works - without them asking for tenders - in 2001, under her maiden name of Dlamini - in order to hide her identity.
The same house that she tried to resell in July 2002 for R875 000.
But when that deal became known (why was she trying to hide it?) - she offered to resell it back to Dept.of Public Works at the original price.

But here's the interesting footnote about that little transaction - the press was asked to keep quiet about it.
Asked. Or told to?
Looks like the press is well on its way to being muzzled in what used to be South Africa.

Oh, and I can guarantee you that Bush won't be holding onto Airforce One when he goes.
You're one of those numbskulls that believe he was 'in' on 9/11, aren't you?

I dont understand what the word 'equal' has got to do with the crime statistics you have presented in your question. I do however know that everybody is equal. Nobody is better than the other. HOWEVER if Thabo Mbeki can spend such a fortune on a retirement home he is not equal with us but a terrible leader. We have other people who could do with just a R100 in SA but he still insists on having a great retirement. Selfish if you ask me.

USA and SA have got nothing to do with each other. Keep the USA out of SA's business.

Kim.

Brad, Me old mate you have done it again. You cannot come on this site and talk sense without feeling the ire of the " Proudly South Africans." There is an article in the Business Day dated 18 September 2006 written by the Editor ( Peter Bruce) entitled "The thick end of the wedge." You can access it at www.businessday.co.za. Please read it but I will quote you some of it:
The criminals, thugs, savages and murderers roaming our streets think the Police and Government are a joke and they are absolutely right. And here's the really interesting thing about the crime wave and terror you are about to go through. You can do absolutely nothing about it.You cant complain about the illegal foreigners because that's xenophibic. You cant,if you are white, complain about the 4 dudes in the BMW who've been watching your house for the past week because that's racist. You cant warn foreigners off coming here because that's unpatriotic. You cant complain about illiterate cops because that's anti transformation. You cant call for the death penalty because that's fascist.
The sad thing is that those "Proudly South Africans" are proud of what no longer exists but they have nothing else to cling to so they go into denial or plain name calling and insults. It is extreme immaturity on their part and like the old Rhodesians if they survive the next 10 years then as a last resort they will be given R60 and asked to leave the Country.
The response says it all- they are all in denial, finding unreliable statistics and taking it as though it were a personal attack. Maybe if they lived or spent time in a normal society they would realise just how abnormal South Africa is. On 21/9 and 22/9 there will be demonstrations in Sandton at the International Media Forum to attract world attention to the runaway crime, corruption and lunatic pseudo-science of Mbeki and Tsongolola so lets see where that goes. These youngsters are arguing a death sentence for themselves without having the insight or maturity to understand what they are doing.

Knowing my backround it will come as no surprise that every other VIP also did in the past even when SA was nearly a first world country as some so succintly state. It will also come as no surprise to you as you would appear to be terribly well informed(lol) that your hero GWB and his enourage do EXACTLY the same in every country thay visit as does Tony Blair, as does Bob Hawkes as doe as does as does........ Good morning Alfie me boy......you also coming to provide us with some witty humour again.............thought you had been locked up for committing some foul deed. Alf my boy there is still justice in SA............even in "ye merry old england" people get convicted of crime and on appeal the convictions are overturned.............just read the papers..................we might not agree with it but it happens and if you have the money it makes it easier to hire the best lawyers..............OJ is a good example and there are many others..................................... keep up the humour on your part............i see you have managed to progress to 1999 in your absence............another 3 or four months and you will be up to speed edit Brad, you havnt got the story quite right, They are reffering to VIP's travelling under police or security escort. Now dont tell me GWB when travelling in his armoured phalanx stops at every traffic light and that his security allows joe soap to slip into the cavalcade at random.....i dont think so.......when he was in SA a couple of years ago the roads he was using were cordoned off

Excuse me, but, where did all the serial killers like Ted Bundy and all the others come from? AMERICA!!!!! So please don't tell us about our crime rate, it's not like we are the only country in the world with a crime rate asshole!!!! What the **** do you Americans have against South Africa? Why do you always think you better than others? News flash, you are NOT!!!!! Tell me asshole, do us South Africans talk so much **** about America? No we don't, I hate this place, but I don't bad mouth it at every chance I get!!!! You should rather stick to boxing.

Look Brad, how about you stop with your accusations? You don't live in SA anymore, so what is your big problem? Yes, some of your family lives there, but why is it your problem what goes on? If your family is complaining, why don't they also just move to the states? If you can come up with solutions, fine, if not, then just be quiet!! And stop thinking that Americans are better than other people, because you are not!!

Brad when are you going to tell us something that we dont know? Yes the current government is pissing taxpayers money into the wind... renaming all the places they can amongst other things.

Come to us with an answer... but then again you dont have an answer. That's why you ran away from this country with your tail between your legs. It is arrogant and condescending to sit on another contenant and proceed to tell South Africa what to do. You have NO idea what its really like here, you don't live here. Enough already... go and bully another country for a while.

Brad - respect to you. I have great respect for anyone who helps out family!

Brad, I must put you in check about your mental block when it comes to South Africa. This is what I mean about your illogical opinions/rantings. How can a country that has only out from under apartheid in less than twenty years could have solved all its problems. America has yet to solve all our problems. I guess the next thing you'll be saying that Nelson Mandela was not a great leader.

I don't know if you are prejudiced or not. You sound like a neo-con (O'Reilly, Gingrich or that drug addict from radio) who doesn't or refuses to acknowledge the ravages of slavery and white colonialism.
