I have driven in reverse as far as half a mile down a road a few times. Passed the turn off and didn't feel like or couldn't turn around. My brother has driven in car races in reverse too when it was the only way it would work. Didn't win but he had fun trying...LOL

Once when we were driving up a steep mountain,the alternator in our truck went out,and my hubby had to steer the truck backward to get off the mountain.Of course,our truck was power steering,which made it extremely difficult to manoever it around sharp turns,especially in reverse.And we had to keep an eye for traffic both ways. It was pretty unnerving.
