Yes, but you'll probably have to reapply. At UCLA they stress that earning a masters from them in no way guarantees acceptance to their corresponding PhD program (I'm assuming you applied to a masters program and now want to enroll in a PhD program).

So the short answer is: Yes, you can. :)

In the UK, if you got at least an upper second (2:1) for your degree in a subject related to the one that you want to do for a PhD and you know exactly what you want to do for your PhD, then yes you can do a PhD straight away without doing a Masters. This is because the first year of your PhD is a masters (Mphil) and the idea is that if you complete that successfully, your course is then 'converted' to a PhD and you can then finish doing it.

If you need further information, I suggest that you talk to the course co-ordinator (person in charge of) for the PhD course that you're interested in or personal tutor (if you have one) about your options and what to do next.
