Yes, you can take your second hard drive out and put it on another computer, if you're only using it to store files and not having an operating system (OS) installed on it. It will function as usual. What if you have an OS installed? Then, you have to format the drive first before shifting it.
To remove all the data from the second hard drive, the easiest way is to format it, through it will not completely remove everything, so traces of your files may be recovered through special software. If you want to totally wipe out all of your data from the hard drive and leave no chances for recovery, you can use a special software like DriveScrubber ( http://www.iolo.com/ds/ ).

Only if the second computer has the same settup and hardware as the 1st computer will it work. Other than that, the drivers and other stuff will not match up and most likely it wont get very far. To remove date from second harddrive, format it. That will take everything off.

hai
lets talk about the first question of yours
yes, you can put another hard drive into your desktop, and also you can shift that to another system ,,,,,, and you can access that as it is an integral part of the second system..............
now about the second question,,,,,
when you shift the hdd from one system to another, it is accepted by the new computer as a slave hdd. and you can do things like those you do with your normal hdd....
so be cool .......
if you want to remove the entire data then format that particular partition of hdd. or you can format the entire hdd itself. both ways are safe ........ ok
got your answer, if you want more specific answer mail me...
bye...
