If you are set on the name Kennedy for your daughter I cannot in good conscience recommend another spelling as it will condemn her to a life of spelling it over and over. Kennedy is a good strong name and because of the presidential Kennedys it's very well known.

My advice is to just stick with Kennedy with all the seriousness and history that the name holds.

Imagine having to learn how to spell or read and your own name doesn't even follow the rules of language because your mommy wanted something cute and childish?

Remember, your child needs a name that will also suit the adult they will become.

I agree with some of the others. I like Kenedi or Kenidi. I like those because they are just a little different, not difficult to spell or figure out. People have difficulties pronouncing names correctly, if you pick something way different, it will never be said (or spelled) correctly by others. Also by taking out the extra "n", it shortens it and maybe makes it a little easier for a young one to learn. The "i" ending softens it and makes it more feminine. Just my opinion.

I suggest just spelling it 'Kennedy'. With a very unique spelling, it's going to be a bigger problem for her to learn to spell it, and teachers, friends, and anyone else who has to use her name are going to be misspelling it all her life.
