I personally think that it the media's play on everything that kinda makes me upset. Being from New York, and seeing the damage basically in your back yard is enough. I think this is Tensile Towns way of trying to make a buck of the situation. Life goes on in the end, why do they have to play on peoples emotions and fear? These are REAL people that have lost their live being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And a Media spin on disasters to to make gold thread.... But truly i don't think you are alone on this subject matter....it makes me mad too...

I think everyone is open to their own convictions on this subject. I was watching the news one day when they were talking about this movie, and they were saying that the reason the movie was made at the 5 year mark is because that's the average mark when people start "forgetting" what happened, or they stop thinking about it and remembering the events.

I saw it, and I really didn't see it as a "Sept 11 movie", I saw it as one story about survival from one set of people... not a statement about September 11.

Also, I think it is important to make the movies now, while the events are fresh in our minds for future generations around the world to see what happened and hopefully that raw emotion will come through. Maybe they can learn something that we can't/don't see right now.

I think that the rest of the world would really like to have some idea of what really happened that day. Not that we haven't seen it played over and over again on our news channels, but we didn't grasp the whole picture and as sad as it sounds the movies that are playing on TV and in the theaters, do show us a much larger picture of what went on that horrible day. I for one don't know how much of them are true, but it gives me a better insight of how it happened.

I think its way to early. The families of the ones who died still haven't had any closure. Think about it. The war, Saddam trial and the hunt for Bin Laden are still on the news everyday to remind them of the evil in the world, like the ones who took their family.

i think that we are lucky enough to live in a free country where we can express ourselves through many different avenues and writing movie scripts is one of them. i am not trying to be condescending here, I'm just saying that the people who made that movie have just as much right to make it as the cynic has to not pay to see it in this great country of ours. a good friend of mine lost his daughter that day and he feels that the story being vividly told will help us to remember the tragedy and not allow history to repeat itself. it tells the heroic tale of the emergency workers who gave their lives and health to save others, who could be offended by that?

p.s. the last guy was so college educated that he mis-spelled educated. you don't need to go to Harvard to understand heroism

I saw it and it wasn't too bad. But I agree, I think it was too early. They didn't start making WW2 movies until decades after the war.
