Roger Craig was the first 1,000-1,000 back (rushing yards and receiving yards in the same year) and he played on a Niner's team that had Rice, Taylor, Clark, and Rathman who was a pretty good receiving fullback. He must have been a pretty good receiving back to pull 1,000 yards away from those guys.
C'mon Sayer of course Faulk's gonna have better career numbers than Craig, the question wasn't which running back has the best receiving numbers, that is Larry Centers, the question was who is the best of all time, Faulk has played longer than Craig did, Faulk was the number one receiver in Indy and the third receiver in St. Louis, Craig was the number four or five guy, Manning and Warner threw for a lot more yards than Montana did (he had a good running game), and I can't believe you think Holt, Bruce, and Hakim are a better receiving corp than Rice, Taylor, and Clark.

MARSHALL FAULK BY FAR!!!
If not a RB he would be pushing for TOP WR near the top ten. Solid Hands! Great Hole seaker speed RB!
Faulk- 767 Receptions 36 td's(reciving)
6,875 Receiving Yards.
Roger Craig- Total Receiving Yards– 4,911
Total Receptions – 566 17 receiving TD
Clearly FAULK is the better Receiving back and he had HOLT, BRUCE, Hakim, played with M. Harrison in Indy. Both Manning and Warner were slingers and he did a heck of a job.

its a hard choice between Marshall faulk and Tomlinson, while faulk had 5 straight years of 80+ receptions (from '98 to '02), tomlimson is young and is no slouch either posting 100 receptions in '03. For now because of his consistency and the way defenses had to account for faulk, I would say Marshall is best receiving back so far. But give LT a few more years and he may well rewrite the history books. LT is defiantly the most complete back in football today, bar none

Larry Centers, not only holds the single season record for receptions for RB's, but also holds the career receptions for RB's at 827, Faulk came close with 767. As for Tomlinson, he still has a long career ahead of him, so only time will tell on him on the receptions.

Larry Centers. Still holds the single season record for receptions by a running back. Look at his Arizona Cardinal days. He was always the leader in receptions on those teams.
