This is why Chevy is behind Dodge and Ford, no rear wheel drive. I do like that it is available in V8, but what about torque steer? I'll wait for the new 2007/2008 Dodge Challenger!

The '06 Monte Carlo shares the same headlight and hood with the '06 Impala. Chevy's way of reducing costs but like always if it looked bad on one car it will look just as bad on the other. I was just warming up to the last front end treatment of the MC and then Chevy up and decides it wants to reduce costs and does the current front end which I hate. I was going to buy an '06 Monte because it was coming out with the V-8 (although still FWD dammit!!) but when I saw the front end I decided I'd wait till they see the error of their ways and improve on it...or the next body style comes out. Either way...Chevy lost a sale...and from the remarks I've read so far...they've lost more than one.

I think it looks okay but why would they make it front wheel drive with a 303 hp v8 also why an auto whats wrong with a manual.

GM is falling behind in designing cars that people want.Malibu and Impala look almost identical.Sorry GM they don`t appeal to me.

Looks weird. My biggest complaint though, is that it's FWD. I miss the RWD models.

I rented one and it's pretty homely and not very fun to drive either.
