I have a friend that says that he likes short girls because it makes him feel strong and macho next to them, is it true?

I don't want to be sarcastic but it's really intresting to see that you guys say that personality is the most important in a girl, that's a new one to me, it's good to know that there are decent guys out there.

I agree that personality IS the most important thing.
But it is also true that I prefer short girls to tall girls. And very specifically girls who are shorter than me. If I was to be completely honest, I suspect it is for basically the same reason as your friend - however ridiculous that may seem. I don't think that's true for everyone though - I know several couples where the woman is taller than the man, and I'm sure everybody does.
I have a female friend who will not go out with any man who's not chubby. Not because she doesn't find slimmer men attractive but because the slim men make her feel fat and so she doesn't feel comfortable with them. I think it's the same mentality.

I'm not a guy but I think every guy is different. I have a friend who is like 5'2 and all of his girlfriends are incredibly tall. My cousin also married a girl who was at least 5 inches taller then he was. Some guys may like short girls but I don't think that is true for all guys.

Height matters more for women and so I think your friend has a point.
My rule of thumb is the girl's eyes should be in line with the guy's mouth. But that's just an approximate measure.
What's more important is how people are attracted to each other (could be for so many reasons) and their personalities. Oh sure, physical attractiveness has a lot to do with it, but there are other criteria.

I think short guys are attracted to tall girls but, usually don't date them because it threatens their masculinity. I am 5' 6" and very happy with my ht. but, I have had a short guy tell me I'm very tall. Of course, I'm average ht. The problem was with him. He was very short. Men who are self confident can like a woman of any height. Just an observation. BTW, I'm female. :)

Honestly, I could care less how she looks or how tall she is. If she has a kick *** personality, that's all that matters... My Opinion.
