As children we always want to be a fireman or doctor so that we can save people's lives. That is sometimes the major reason why some people take up a certain proffesion. But look at all of the lives we don't save.

People that die in massive quanites seem like 1 whole, no 1 is an indiviual. We forget that they are real people, each one, feels, hopes, and dreams for better. Famine alone has killed nearly 80 million people in China througout history. Africa, India, and other contries have people that are dropping like flies because they don't have any food to eat. Yet here we are stuffing our fat faces and sitting on our butts watching television. Buts soon as one of those help the needy children commercials come on we ignore it or turn the channel. Well, $20 a day could save one life, one life saved. It hurts me to think that am too lazy to pick up the phone&give money. A life I could save, what a noble deed. But that child isn't worth my time or money.. So sad..

I just saw this clip of the suicide of Budd Dwyer and chills ran down my spine. I started to shake as I got this horrible feeling the pit of my stomach. I wish this world was better.

Lives are lost for many reasons. Some people are not in control.
But many lives are lost, because they just don't know.
They didn't know someone cared that they were depressed.
They didn't know they could die, by taking those drugs.
They didn't know they should eat less cholesterol.
On and on I think education is the greatest defense to sickness, disease and death. Many people just don't know that what they are choosing could kill them, or that there is help out there.
What do I do? I make donations and I work hard to educate people on healthy living. http://www.recipes-for-a-healthy-home.com

The best way to "safe a life" is to raise conscientious children. Kids who will one day be responsible for the world, and saving it and it's population. The truth is that it only happens person by person, bit by bit - if we all must do our part, than the best thing to do is raise good people, who will save each other, no?

Too bad there are so many skeptics out here in the world. I would love to donate my $20 so some jackass can buy himself a new car, or take his mistress on a Hawaiian vacation. But I suppose if I were under the misguided notion it was feeding some poor child out there it shouldn't make any difference.
