why couldn't they tell from a pelvic exam??
When I was first seen with my first pregnancy, I did the urine test and had internal exam. Almost immediately my doctor said, "you are very pregnant" Apparently your cervix is very high and very soft, and they feel your uterus. do a little search online about doctor exams etc. But yes, an internal exam should confirm that you are at least somewhat there. I was 8 weeks so I was a month later than you but you know your body better than anyone else, treat yourself as if you are and then go back in a month or a few weeks or take a home test, by then you should show a positive. GOOD LUCK

Sometimes yes although 1 month might be a bit early. In early pregnancy your cervix and vagina start to change color which can be a sign of pregnancy. Also even though you don't show right away your uterus begins to grow and that can be felt. The urine pregnancy test is usually very accurate and unless you have unusually low levels of the HCG hormone which the test detects, a false negative is unlikely but can happen.

No I don't believe that they can tell by a pelvic exam. The blood test is almost 100% accurate. I would say that you are not pregnant.

Urine tests are very accurate by that point. Even after 2 weeks a urine test should be accurate.

A doc can tell by an exam that is what they are trained for. So they can tell the difference in a pregnant women from a non pregnant women. Pregnant womens bodies change during pregnancy, the hips widen, belly hardens, ect.

No, the urine test would be accurate. And nothing turns blue when you're pregnant, I've been pregnant twice!

princessm is right, When I went to the dr. he told me I was pregnant because my cervix had already turned the color blue. So yes they can tell by a pelvic, well actually just by looking!

I don't know if it's true but I read in a book once that a woman's cervix turns blue when she's pregnant. It may not be a fool-proof way to tell, but it may support the diagnosis.

Not to my knowledge. For future reference, go to the 99cent store & buy a preg. test kit. It's accurate. You shouldn't have to go to the doctor every time. Treat yourself with good care and eat right if you think you are pregnant. Wish you well.

Yes, they can tell you after a pelvic examination. In case of doubt, they are professionally obliged to tell you that too.
