This is a SEPARATE service, like text messaging, and as such, incurs a separate commitment and separate fee...there are combo deals which may allow you to combine many of these services into one package...the choice is yours! Of course, you will not be able to use your cell phone as a phone if you are using it to deliver Internet access...and access is NOT available in all areas. When I looked into it, I figured I would need to contract for two SEPARATE phones and phone numbers to take advance of everything I wanted...and about double the expense I'm now paying for just a cell phone...!

No, just minutes as it is a local dial-up call. If you are lucky enough to have a VX8000, you can have free broadband access as well. They locked it down after that model as it is about 80.00 a month without that phone.
