It depends on what the other facters are... the tall but not so good looking guy could be a really great person and the medium handsome guy could be a real prick! take my guy as an example... he's about six two and has a great personallity and he is handsom. but he does have a bit of a body hair problem, should that bring the rest of him down?
I say go for the one who your comfortable with. if you can't handle the badder points then you need to move on...

Tall isn't something everyone thinks is a good thing, and throw in his lack of looks too? Poor guy needs to find a tall, non-good-looking woman to go out with him.

I've an issue with height so the former.
I like tall men because I'm pretty tall myself (5'7")
Although realistically, I'd probably wouldn't bother regardless, if we're compatible... the height thing & everything else would be rather trivial.
