This might range from the "magpie', visible in sunshine at 2000 meters to the severely practical with none. My favourite item was a victorian gold mounted cameo brooch of St Cecilia [Music}. Sadly it was stolen when I was in care. I now have a modest cameo worn as a collar closing ornament for my blouse.
Best Wishes, Rose P.

Dear Becky,
I posted the Q here because I am lesbian. I suppose it might have gone elswhere as it does not depend on sexual orientation.
Sorry, answers from anyone please.

Tasteful, well designed and extraordinarily beautiful jewelry is something I like.
I like wearing a brooch with a high necked, Victorian style silk blouse that buttons in the back. I think that is pretty.
I like Rolex watches, not because of the prestige or the name, but becuase they are a completely mechanical, hand made watch- something you rarely see any more. My major in college is engineering and I appreciate the precision of the internal movements. Most of the time, I use the clock on my cell phone to know what time it is.
I dislike necklaces or bracelets because they are distracting to me- always getting in the way.
I like earrings- small ones when I am working on something in my shop, but fancier ones for when I get dressed up for a dance or for, say, a court appearance.
I don't understand the younger people that look like a walking jewelry store- quantity is not the same as quality. To show off gobs of "bling" is, to me, crass and unsophisticated.
I might wear a nice ring, but they can be as distracting as necklaces or bracelets in my opinion.
Hope this helps :)

Yes, I love jewelery. I frequently change between several pieces, but I do have a couple of cherished pieces I've inherited from family. An Italian designed Tiger claw with a five karat smoke topaz at the crown, and my great grandmother's wedding band. Now the band is a simple and plain gold band, but it holds a lot of sentimental meaning for me. The Tiger's claw was my mother's, but she gave it to me when my son was born. It's my birthstone, but the crown holding the Topaz has several small diamond baguettes, which are my son's birthstone. My Mom knew how much I always loved that broach, so when my son was born, that was her gift to me. She felt it would have more significance for us.
I also recently aquired a ring with a two karat Amatrine. Now the stone isn't all that valuable, but it's a combination of my birthstone and my partner's. Mine being Citrine/Topaz and her's being Amethyst. Again, it's not monetarily valuable but it means a lot to me.

no, i've never been much into jewellry. I don't even wear a watch...I used to wear a wedding ring but that was 20 years ago...and now the best I can do is wear a pride bracelet on one arm....not that I dislike jewelry, i just never got into it. I actually had inherited a beautiful green saphire ring from my mother's estate..but after a year in my safety deposit box..i just took it over to my sisters and gave it to her...what good would it ever do me?...and I think she really treasures it.

Yes! I have lots of jewelry. I have designed a few pieces with precious stones, and I make alot of jewelry out of clay. I really want to have my own jewelry company though.
