If the house was built correctly there should be a clean-out some place in the basement... You may have to pull the toilet and snake from there..

Good luck and please don't invite me to spend the night..

It depends on when the house was built and where in the country you are but the current building codes where i live require a cleanout in the vent pipe for each shower, sink, toilet etc. The cleanouts should have a threaded abs cap you can unscrew and run a snake down the line. There should also be a double cleanout between your septic tank or the street if you have city sewer and it should be no more than ten feet from your house. You can also run a snake from there.

outside your house where the main line goes to the street there should be a 4" cap probably made of red clay. take the cap off, this is the vent for the main. you have to find something that fits into the pipe fairly close to the same diameter. i found the back end of an electric scooter motor worked for me. connect this to a long poll loosely w/ wire and or bolt. put the poll w./ the disc down the hole to the bottom and pull up fast. this should nonstick the clog in the main.I've had to do it twice w/ success.

You can't afford NOT to get a plumber.

Seriously, you don't want the sewer sludge in your house. Call a few plumbers and let them know the problem in the house and ask if they will offer a payment plan.

Good luck!
