The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon by Stephen King. It's a great coming of age story a little bit frightening in a mild way. A 15 yr old should be able to handle it.
Happy Reading!

Sarah Dessen is a great author. My favorite is The Truth About Forever. Her newest is Just Listen. All very good.
Joan Bauer is another great choice. I love Hope Was Here.
Hit the Road by Caroline B. Cooney is very funny.
Sonya Sones is another good choice. Her verse novels are great. I love What My Mother Doesn't Know.
And Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson is one of the best YA books of all time.

My favorite book EVER (and I have read a ton of books in my day) was and still possible is Ready, Okay! by Adam Cadre. You can only really get it used on Amazon or something now, but I pretty much think everyone would love it.
It's about this family and just kind of all this stuff that happens to them. So good.

Sarah Dessen writes amazing books for tennage girls! You should definately read like all of them! Tamora Pierce is also a very good author for teen fantasy. I loved every single series of hers. Ann Rinaldi writes great historical novels that are good for teens, too. If you like historical novels also try "Just Jane" by, I think it is, William Lavender.
This Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants books are amazing as well. And "No shame , No fear" by Ann Turnbull left me turning the pages and unable to put it down. Have fun reading!

It looks like you've got a lot to select from the other respondents. If you still are'nt satisfied visit the American Library Association for a list of recommended books.
