Yes, I saw it in 1962 with my sister, It won 3 oscars and Gregory Peck was great as the lawyer. We were just kids and I found some parts kind of scary, thanks for the memory

The book was made into the well-received and Academy Award-winning film with the same title, To Kill a Mockingbird, in 1962.

Wow what a movie..One of the best movies I have seen,well older movies should I say..The story is simple and the characters play their part very well.Particularly scout and Mr. Finch acted very well.Clearly shows the social condition in the 1930's America.After seeing the movie,I have the urge to read the book..Great ending and a must see 1962 classic..

It was filmed AND released in 1962, the year I was born. Back then they spent only a few weeks making films, not months or even years as they do now.

It was released to theatres in 1962,so I'm assuming that it was probably filmed in '61. In my opinion,it's one of the best films ever. I love it so much I named one of my dogs "Scout" because she was fearless and wise,curious and stubborn,just like Jean Louise Finch-A.K.A. "Scout" Finch in the movie.Mary Badham,who played Scout ,had never acted before,nor had the boy(his name escapes me now) who played her brother,Jem.Great movie,great book.
