I have to admit, I'm not very responsible with taking my medication. It's something that I'm still the in the process of improving upon. But I was just wondering- would taking my daily dosage of zoloft at different times each day ruin any of the effect the drug will have on me?

Sometimes I take it in the early morning, and sometimes I take it late in the day. Other times I just forget. I honestly can't tell if it's had a difference on me. I've always felt miserable since I was forced to take these things years ago but my doctor insists I stay on them.

I would take it at approximately the same time every day as it is better that way and it is likely to have the optimal effects.

However from personal experience (I am forgetful!!) taking it at slightly different times (say an hour or so time difference) doesn't affect you much. But I would not take it at night one day and morning another etc, as that will likely disrupt your system in some way..

Give Zoloft a try, as it does do wonders for depression.. but if you feel it's not working (give it a time period to set in), then perhaps see your doctor about other options, there are so many meds now days, I am sure one will help you with your depression!

And NEVER miss a dose if you can help it.. and espcially don't miss a few doses.. that is when you get some awful side effects!

you say ( I've always felt miserable since I was forced to take these things years ago but my doctor insists I stay on them) if you don't feel any benefit why take them .Allot of people get what is call a paradoxical effect to the medicine that means you are having the apposite reaction and no benefit to the drug . The thing is if you are suffering from depression and this drug doesn't work for you, it might depend on how old are you and for how long you have been having depression symptoms i men if you are over 40 and you have been depres all you re life ,you will have permanent brain changes and this medicines will not help you and increasing the dosages, will only get you side effects .You should try therapy and positive changes in you re life

Actually once you get a blood level it does not matter at all BUT it seems like you need something more...If you "have been miserable for years" clearly another option is called for...

I am a big believer in "better living thru chemistry" and have taken wellbutrin for several years...I also KNOW that I deserve to feel as good as possible and if my brain chemistry is lacking thru no fault of my own then why shouldn't I do something to feel better?
If you were diabetic or had low thyroid would you refuse to do something about that? I doubt it...depression is an illness and it should be treated. Speak to your doctor and have your meds adjusted. You're worth it.

Are you severe? how oftentimes do you're taking it now? You cant take it once a week and anticipate it to artwork. its in basic terms glaring you need to take it same time each day. come across a sparkling physician.
