I think a good person is a good person. It doesn't matter what religion they are. I think that if you both believe in kindness, acceptance and compassion then there should not be a problem. If it is, I think that there is personality issue that needs to be resolved because No loving Hindu, Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Muslim, Pagan or Other would condemn a good person or try to change them.

When I meet someone I like and can easily talk to, I'll start up a friendship because we get along with one another. At some point, I may ask what my new friend's religion is simply because I want to know more about them, but I can honestly say that I have never ended a friendship over a difference in religion. That simply does not make any sense to me and is in fact an affront to my ethics.

I'm a Muslim, I have lots of Christian friends since we were like 6 years old, we grew up together and even after marriage our husbands became good friends too, it is very normal in my country , because there are both religions living together for years. My friends and I almost never discuss religion, but we never miss a chance to visit each other on Christmas and the Muslim Eid.

Generally humans gravitate to those of similar mind on many topics but you are correct, religion and politics can certainly open a can of worms.

Yes I have friends of other faiths. Even tho they may not think in the same way I do, if they feel they have the eternal issue settled within their own hearts - then that is what God requires and I need ask nothing more than He does.

I have friends of several religions, and some of no religion (Atheist) I do not spend my time tossing God at them. God just says to plant the seed. He will do the growing. Meanwhile there is a bounty of things in this grand world to talk about. Cars, Football, Forest fires out here.. ect..

I have many friends of many different religions. I have my own belief system and forms of worship so no one else actually IS of my same religion. I do occasionally attend a Unitarian Universalist church but that is only to meet others of a similar mindset not as a part of my religious practice.

Most of my friends actually belong to other religions. It is not my job to preach or convert to them. It is my job to represent God's will in the way I conduct myself towards others. I am definitely not a saint, however, I believe God loves all his children and I try to live by the golden rule.

Sure. I do have friends of different religions, in fact. It's never been a problem, since we're all open-minded people.
