We are there. In the 1960's President LBJ created the "Great Society" This expantion of the FDR's New Deal is a philosophical left turn there by creating a socity of dependents and using that group as political pawns durring elections as an attempt for gaining or retaining control. The FDR Deal created a civilian work force in exchange for assistance in programs like the Civilian Conservation Corps. The provisions of the "Great Society" eliminated this provision and there by created a class of dependents whos fear is the reduction or elimination of benafits. I know that there is needy in this country but there are ways out of these situations they just have to look.
