Vote against abortion rights and watch your daughter get brutally raped and forced to do unquestionable acts and then be forced to have to have the baby that was conceived during the act, or vote for abortion rights and know that you're destroying a human life? No intolorant zealots please who bash people for their beliefs - I want an intelligent and honest dialogue here.

I understand that some people would argue that the child could be adopted, but that poor girl would still have to go through the trauma of carrying that child to term and having the baby, possibly without health insurance, and that could bankrupt her. What then?

Being a law student and a woman, I am inclined to vote for the right to choose life. In that situation the law is put in between a rock and a hard place...on one hand abortion is killing a baby, while on the other hand, the baby was conceived during an illegal and completely immoral act. A good judge would be completely torn, however, in this situation, as a woman, I would have to say that in this particular situation, even though I would never have an abortion for an pregnancy caused by my own actions, I would most likely have an abortion because I would not be able to stand to look at a baby who was made out of me being raped. But then again, I would only be able to answer whether I would keep the baby if I was in that situation, which, thank God, I am not.

Abortion will and always will be a very tense issue some woman feel it is their right to make the choice and others feel it is a gift from God to be able to bare young and is wrong to take a childs life. For woman who have been forced to have sex and a child is conceived out of rape it is dispicable that someone could be so inhumane to do that to a woman.
It would take a very strong very loving heart in a woman to go ahead and have that child. That child didn't ask to be born under that condition and to hurt another human life. I would never even begin to be able to understand the pain a woman would go through all i know is that if a woman decided to have an abortion because she was forced to have sex and she could not handle it. Then I do not think anybody would have the right to condemn her . But on the other hand I don't think it would be right for a woman to have an abortion just becuzz she dosen't want to have a child or the responsiblity.

I like to compare the legal debate on Abortion to genital cutting. In some crappy countries at the age of about 12 a girls mother will have someone cut off her clitoris or even sew up her vulva leaving only a small hole. Women are not considered marrigable if they do not have this done and this is a society where an unmarried woman would starve to death. So this is not going away. They do this with no anasthesia or cleanliness whatsoever. Some have argued that we might as well give them a clinic with supplies so these poor girls don't have to suffer so much.
Abortion is going to happen no matter what we tell people. It's been going on for many many years even before medicine became what it is today. Since that's the case, there might as well be clean sterile safe places for it to be performed in. People want to ban abortion based on moral grounds but how moral is it to open a door to a black market that would increase deaths from just fetuses to women too? How moral is that?

I personally believe in the right to live for all unborn children. Period.
A person could have been brutally raped. But why compound the issue by now she knows she is terminating a life. If you think for a momemt that child will be any reflection on the evil that was done to her mother you are mistaken.
But in your question who is paying the ultimate sacrifice, the unborn child, not the one who did the rape, not the one who got herself in the wrong place, you condemn the totally innocent to death. I will say without a doubt if it were my daughter I would persnally hunt down that person and he would never rape again.
Abortion in the states is usually performed out of convenience or inconvenience. In North America there really is no reason for abortion with all the birth control.
But back to your question, by having the abortion, what about the person who did the BRUTAL RAPE.. What's he doing appearing on the Vue

In case of rape
I would have to
be honest and
go with abortion.
It's a tough scenario
and it may sound
like an easy way
out. Actually,
I am killing, and
how will I live with
that? It is truly a no
win situation, is it?
It is not the child's fault,
but it is not my fault
I was raped - so I
would do the day after
pill.
The saddest part of all
is that the rapist will
probably be out at it
again, in say, 3 to 6
years?
Whatever you decide,
I back you 100% -
it is a miserable situation.

Freedom of choice is the way to go, simply because if women do not have the basic ability to decide for themselves whether or not to have a child, they have no other choices. Until the fetus can survive outside the body of the mother, it isn't a human life.

Then why do you ask these type questions? You know the answers you are going to get!
You make a couple of assumptions! No law recognizes a fetus as "human Life", they are more like parasites as they depend on the host for everything!
I believe in peoples right to chose! There are million's of reasons people abort a fetus! Many are even spontaneous, done I suppose by God!
It isn't my place to play God with someone else life. and even when you do, you complain about them being on welfare and getting food stamps! If you want to make them have it, why aren't you man enough to support them for 18 years?

Well, I honestly only believe in abortion in certain situations. Such as rape or if the conception is dangerous to the woman's life. If I were pregnant and I knew labor would cause me death I would still have the baby but I think that decision should be allowed. As far as not keeping your legs closed and getting knocked up, hell no! In general I'm prolife.

Thats a toughie.
Many would argue that rape is not a good reason, there are many who would be happy to adopt.
I believe there are certain medical circumstances that require abortion, such as saving the mothers life.
For the most part i think it should be left up to women.
They will be effected by the decision more than anyone.

It is a personal decision. Freedom of choice is the way to go. If abortions were illegal the abortion parlors in the back alleys would flourish again.
