It is hard to understand where Jimmy Carter got the idea he knows what is going on. After being the weakest president in modern history he has morphed into a critic of those in office get get things done and do not let other coutries step on us like Iran did to Him. If he thinks our country has degraded so badly he should stop bad mouthing it and just speak well of the good things here. The habitat for humanity stuff is nice but the world does not need old men swinging hammers. We also do not need senile politicians trying to influence current events.

I agree! He should shut the hell up and go home and build more houses for poor people.
What ever happened to the past presidential conduct about staying out of current presidential politics? Both Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter need to shut up.

You'd think that he'd have the sense to lay low after seeing the effects that his policies are having on the world today. After all if he hadn't handed Iran to the Ayatollahs on a silver platter,we wouldn't have the problems we are having today with the Islamic Fundamentalists. But then he doesn't have that sense. Slippiefist does not realize that Carter was being played by Arafat who was just playing for time, trying to look good to the world and had no intention to bring about peace.

He's done more post-presidency than most presidents will ever do.

He lost the election to a movie star.

He's an ex-President, which means he can say [just about] whatever he wants.

You don't have to agree with what he says, but since he used to be this countries' leader, you should respectfully listen.

A lot of people say what they think, even when people don't want to hear them. Take Newt Gengrich, for example. I see him on MSNBC a lot, and he's been out of Congress for years.

I agree too. He needs to stick with habitat for humanity and keep his big trapper closed. Remember the 70's. Wow, he needs to disappear, but he's like a cockroach that won't go away. That goes for all ex-presidents and their wives. Unless ofcourse they have something nice or helpful to say.

That's the usual 'problem' of ex-Presidents, ex-Prime Ministers -always giving their 2-cents worth when they are no longer in charge. But hey they are also entitled to their opinions however vocal - that can't be annoying can it? Remember: "old ginger tastes the hottest!!"

You just have to excuse the ramblings of those who are elderly and who have lost touch with reality. I don't agree with any thing he is saying but honestly, does he even know he is saying it?
