Absolutely, Piece of cake.
If you have a Word table, with headings, select the 1st row (the heading) and click Table, click Heading.
Now, select the whole table.
Then, click Table, click Sort.
You now indicate which column heading you want to sort by and indicate that you do have headings. Click o.k.
Voila! The table is sorted.
If you just have a list of words, typed one word on a line, followed by a "return," select the list of words, click Table, click Sort.
The list will be sorted.

Microsoft Word can put words in alphabetical order.
type the text to be sorted then click "table" then click "sort" it will give you a certain number of choices about the data to sort. Highlight the text and click "sort".
Microsoft Excle can do the same: You still have to type each word in one cell, then highlight the column, click Data/sort/ascending, and it will order them.
This is the cheapest and most immediate way to do it.

If using Microsoft Office Word:
1. Select the list or table you want to sort. If you want the entire document (press Ctrl+A).
2. On the Table menu, click Sort.
3. Select the sort options you want.
Yes, Excel would be best for this task.

Check out Microsoft Excel. You can do almost anything with that, without too much fuss. If still unsure, there is always the Help function available for use.

Put them in one column in excel. Click on the letter at the top.
Probably A. Then click on the "Sort Ascending" button on the toolbar.

Yep, start with the letter a and find all the words that start with that letter, then move on to b, and so on.
