The first six movies are listed in roughly the order that I predict you might enjoy them based solely on your question.

A Beautiful Mind - Based on a true person. Oscar for best movie in 2002. Starring Russel Crow. Judging from the other two movies you mentioned, this should be a hit for you. I loved it. A genius mathematician deals with schizophrenia, and helps with national security. I liked Good Will Hunting but this was better, IMHO.

The Paper Chase - 1973 A TV series of the same name was the spin-off of this movie. John Houseman is great in this film about freshman law students at an Ivy League law school.

I mention the following movies as your mood may change. They don't really seem like what you seek at present.

Breakfast Club - 1985 Stars the Brat Pack. It's high school and it's not so academic, but it is an interesting study of peer pressure and teen angst set almost entirely in detention hall.. Well-done and probably has gained cult classic status. Best movie of its kind, but that may be showing my age.

Animal House - Zany comedy about a wayward fraternity at a stuffy college. Gotta be in the mood but it's hilarious and John Belushi's masterpiece. That should give you more than enough info to decide if you would like it or not. d:c)

I.Q. - 1994 A romantic comedy with Walter Matthau as Albert Einstein, and Meg Ryan as his niece, and Tim Robbins who has fallen in love with her. Reminds me of the joke about Einstein and his chauffeur. Not like the movies you mentioned, but funny, cute, and in an academic setting. Probably best enjoyed by romantic physicists. Einstein's notion of "action at a distance" becomes "attraction at a distance." Watch this one with your girlfriend(s).

Oxford Blues - 1994 Another romantic comedy with Rob Lowe. Interesting study of cultural conflicts between American and British youth, though. How often does an American WASP experience cultural discrimination? Set in Oxford. Not great by any stretch, but I liked it well enough to remember it from 10 years ago.

Older movies in academic settings that are excellent.
Goodbye Mr. Chips.
To Sir with Love
Blackboard Jungle

You mean with school as a setting?
The one with Edward James Olmos and high schoolers was pretty good.
