Not sure if your going to get many answers to this. 1 - you can't measure a lighter than air substance in grams. 2 - Hydrogen is an atom not a molecule?

Hydrogen gas is composed of a pair of Hydrogen atoms.
So there are only half the number of Hydrogen molecules, as there are Hydrogen atoms.
Yes, 1 g is 1 g.
It doesnt matter if the hydrogen atoms are paired up as molecules or not. 1 gram of hydrogen atoms ( 1 Mole), has the same number of atoms of Hydrogen, as 1 gram of Hydrogen molecules, they are just paired up as molecules.
Silly question.

atoms are single unbonded elements.
molecules are two or more bonded elements
i think that H molecules contain the same H-atoms as 1 g of H-atoms
The H-moleclue formula is H(subscript 2) --Hydrogen does not occur naturally alone but as a diatomic element. which means that if not in a compound, one hydrogen atom will always be bonded to another hydrogen atom.
the othere elements that behave this way are nitrogen, oxygen, flourine, chlorine, bromine, and iodine
you can also see by converting 1 mole of h-atoms to grams
------and 1 mole of H molecules to grams and see what you find

certain, hydrogen molecule (or the gas H2) has a molecular weight of two, while the hydrogen atom has an atomic weight of one million. hence a million g H atoms will comprise Avagadro no. of atoms, while the H2 molecule being in basic terms 0.5 mole (a million/2 = 0.5 moles) will also comprise an same no. of atoms (word, "not molecules) as a million g H atoms, because the molecule includes 2 atoms of H and 0.5*2 = a million mole of H atoms
