The ice maker leaked into the freezer and after thawing out and turning back on the refrigerator still won't get cold, the freezer does. The fan in the freezer doesn't seem to be running. Checked with a VOM motor seems fine, but not working.

Remove the items from the freezer, Remove the 4 screws that are in the freezer panels, 2 on top, 2 on bottom, Remove panels. I'm the the icemaker leaking has the drain hole plugged up, when the fridge went into defrost mode, the water had no where to go, so it build up around the fan more blades, and the ise alone stuck in the bottom panel will clig the holes. The freezer has openings that allow the cold air from the freezer to drint in the fridge to keep it cold, Just remove the panels as I descibed above and remove the ice

The evaporator motor has to run. Some have door switches that shut the fan off when the door opens. There are no brushes in those motors and the winding are pretty good sized so you can stall them and not hurt them. I have taken then out and oiled them up good. There are bearings in the evap motors. Usually you can tell if oil will help by turning it quickly by hand, the motor will make a noise, like a squeal. If water got into the wire leading to it there could be a burned out wire.

does the fan turn freely? are you measuring any voltage at the fan motor? did you check the motor thermal overload? frig wont get cold unless the fan is working to circulate the cold air.
