There are so many to choose from and no answers could be wrong because it is what touches your soul and brings out the philosopher in yourself that for that moment is the greatest. It would be very difficult for me to choose but I will tell you that it was Rene Descarte that when reading him, I saw that there are those are awakened. I include some quotes of his. When I read him, I suddenly felt no longer a stranger walking alone.

Common sense is the most fairly distributed thing in the world, for each one thinks he is so well-endowed with it that even those who are hardest to satisfy in all other matters are not in the habit of desiring more of it than they already have.

Divide each difficulty into as many parts as is feasible and necessary to resolve it.

Each problem that I solved became a rule, which served afterwards to solve other problems.

Everything is self-evident.

Except our own thoughts, there is nothing absolutely in our power.

I am accustomed to sleep and in my dreams to imagine the same things that lunatics imagine when awake.

I think; therefore I am.

If you would be a real seeker after truth, it is necessary that at least once in your life you doubt, as far as possible, all things.

Illusory joy is often worth more than genuine sorrow.

It is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it well.

Nothing is more fairly distributed than common sense: no one thinks he needs more of it than he already has.

The reading of all good books is like a conversation with the finest minds of past centuries.

There is nothing so strange and so unbelievable that it has not been said by one philosopher or another.

When it is not in our power to follow what is true, we ought to follow what is most probable.

Whenever anyone has offended me, I try to raise my soul so high that the offense cannot reach it.

RENE DESCARTES - the most logical and consistent view about life, external world, mind and existence. ''Cogito ergo sum'' - ''I think there for I exist'' - the statement which has been justified more and more in time: virtual reality, computer generated brain stimula, movies like matrix, 13th floor, total recall etc.they all showed the same thing = Reality is in your mind!! You exist if you feel or think that you exist. Existence doesnt have to be 3dimensional. . Everything can be an illusion but your existence is not. i love his ideas sooo much.

GEORG WILHELM FRIEDRICH HEGEL

"The significance of that 'absolute commandment', know thyself--whether we look at it in itself or under the historical circumstances of its first utterance--is not to promote mere self-knowledge in respect of the particular capacities, character, propensities, and foibles of the single self. The knowledge it commands means that of man's genuine reality--of what is essentially and ultimately true and real--of spirit as the true and essential being."
