Use PayPal to make payments, it works very well and I've never had a problem with fraud or anyone getting my information.

Also, read the seller's feedback. It's usually a good indicator of whether this person will deliver what they promise.

I've used eBay for many years now, and by following the above two rules, I've not had any problem.

I will admit there are some phonies on ebay just like the rest of the world. You just have to be careful when bidding or purchasing, such as looking into their sales background (feedback). Actually read what people have to say about their services. I will give you a tip though; do your homework before bidding because not everything on ebay is as cheap as they make it out to be. I have found many items listed on Ebay that I found on legitimate web retailers sites cheaper. I have not purchased a great deal of items but I "knock on wood" have had zero problems, but sometimes I do have to jump sellers cases to get my feedback from them. All I can say is give it a try you will be pleasantly surprised.

Oh and Paypal is a good idea.

Paypal is very safe. I've been selling and buying on Ebay for 4 years and have never had a problem. If many people were getting ripped off and their credit card inof stolen, then it wouldn't have lasted this long.

eBay is mostly great - its just people, and most people are good and honest. Be sensible though - don't buy so-called designer brand stuff that ships from Singapore or somewhere like that. And do read the feedback and use your instincts. eBay users cannot access your credit card number if you use Paypal.

I agree with dukalink6000. Try PayPal for making your payments on ebay. It also helps to check the Seller's feedback score and amount of time on ebay. The higher(score/percentage) or longer(time)....... the better! Personally, I haven't had problems with PayPal. Otherwise, why don't you just send a money order?

As every where, there are a few good and few bad guys. You can use you own justification/instinct before you spend your dollars.
As for credit card number, better use Paypal

As long as you use Paypal you should have no problems. Just remember to check out a seller's feedback comments. You don't want to deal with a seller that has a lot of negative feedback.

rafjo86 T is next to the Y a common mistake. Get over it, you obviously knew what he meant if you took the time to correct him.
