I would hazard the guess that it is because almost every nation teaches it's own history in greater depth than that of other nations. In Australia (where i'm from) we were taught both Australian history and some world history. Maybe you just haven't got to the world history portion of your coursework yet!

No, not true. In geography, you learn the geography of other countries and can take history courses related to the U.S. and Europe.

I dont know --when I was in school in canada we had to learn about all countries.

I would think it would be obvious that they would concentrate on their own history. In America, we teach American history mostly and then you can take other history if you'd like like Europen History or World History. We focus mainly on American history, though.

because they don,t know about others history & they r too lazy to research for
some other countrie & they think that children should know about their coutrie
than othe countries
