first off why should you have to ask significant other if its okay to talk with your friends. sounds like they too controlling if you have to ask to talk to someone.

Yes if they gave you permission to mingle for one hour they should be upset, especially when you choose a new significant other that is not so controling. Do you think they should pick your friends? Now if your friends were the kind that used to pay for your attention he might have reason to complain. But even then they would know who you were when they met you and should not be trying to change you. You have the right to make your own choices. Choose to leave this dog...

no..you are not a child that needs to be told when you can and cant mingle with friends..i tell them to jump in a river and go on out. Have fun

If my significant other thought he had to give me permission to mingle with my old friends, I'd tell him to take a very long hike. I am not someone's property.

Controlling anothers behavior is manipulative and unhealthy ask your partner to stop doing that if it persists youll eventually love to hate each other

you have the right to hang with whomever you wish...it all depneds on the situation and if you are ignoring your partner or including them in on the conversation. You don't need to be with anyone that is too needy....

You shouldn't need his/her permission for one thing, but if they didn't want you to, they shouldn't say it's okay. You can't read their mind.
