I only had two, but that was enough for me. Both of my children were born that way. You are only older, and the recovery time is a killer. They used to keep you in the hospital for 5 days after giving birth, then they cut it down to 3. Now, it's probably 2. I'm not sure though, it's been 13 years. It's like having 2 operations in one!

A friend of mine had 3 with no problems. It is safer than trying for a VBAC, which can cause uterine rupture. A friend of mine lost a full-term baby girl due to this. When the doctor opened her up the baby was on the outside of the uterus and she was without oxygen too long and passed away 3 days later.

No more so than the first one. I had 3. Doctor did suggest that 3 was enough for anyone.

I would guess that it's no riskier than the first c-section, but you should be consulting with your ob/gyn.

first c-section is risky...........
its not a completely safe operation.........but if it must be done..........then go for it
