Like everyone else has said...you can get pregnant anytime you have sex...
A lot of doctors tell you to wait 6 weeks to have sex..or until you are done bleeding and aren't in pain and it is advised to you a lubricant the first few times if you are experiencing dryness...
And a lot of literature suggest that it is good to wait a full 2 years between pregnancies to let you body heal..having a baby put a hige tax on the body..you need to give it a break..but I guess if you wanted to get pregnant that is your perrogative..
Good luck in your decision

You can get pregnant anytime but you should wait AT least 6 months for your body to heal. I am not sure about sex after a c-section though, but I think I have heard 6 weeks. Ask the doctor. If you are thinking of another baby already, please let your body heal. I think it took my body a good 6-9 months to actually start feeling normal again.

First of all you should wait for 6 weeks before having sex again, Also I believe you should wait about 2 years between babies...it's better for your health.
Its better to discuss this matter with your Doctor. bye

You can get pregnant now. One of my husband's coworkers found out at her six week check-up that she was PREGNANT AGAIN! Can you imagine? Oh and you CAN get pregnant if you breastfeed. I had both my children via c-section, and was still breastfeeding my first-born when I got pregnant with my second one. (They are nearly two years apart)
You need to wait *at least* 6 weeks postpartum before having sex again.

Didn't your doctor discuss this with you? You can get pregnant anytime, but whether it is a good idea... thats something else. After your six week exam with your ob/gyn, they will normally tell you that you can resume sexual relations, but many new moms are simply too exhausted or sore still to really want to.

you can get pregnant again after the baby is born, so anytime now... but doctors recommend that you wait a year so the uterus can completely heal, and hold the baby healthy.
