The study of things through logic and reason.

Philosophy from the Greek means love of wisdom. It has many branches.

To me the central branch and essence of philosophy is Epistemology. The study or investigation to acquire a theory of knowledge.
Years ago the question was - What is truth?

Without a sound theory for epistemology it has always seemed to me that the balance of philosophy was hardly more than interactive speculation.

So philosophy to me is the search for wisdom or truth.

To me, philosophy is the subject of achieving higher consciousness by tracking the pattern of thought, in all it's glory. Philosophers have begun by examining their own idiosyncrasies and aberrations, nothing where they are responding robotic-ally and repetitively rather that staying in the 'first person' and evaluating the world and themselves with integrity and diligence. These philosophers likewise note when they are 'less than conscious' in their responses and that those around them are less in their consciousness as well. They attempt through processing the mind, to explain to others what they have learned as a result. I will give you an example, that when men do their vilest deeds, they are in their lowest form of consciousness. When men are in their highest realm, they do acts of charity and create institutions to serve mankind. Philosophy can also encompass the words of prophets that have intellectually realized that upon illumination of one's own higher state of consciousness, a bridge between all consciousness...that all is One. Or to paraphrase John Lennon, I am you, as you are me, as we are one and we are all together.

The world according to Jenae defines "philosophy" as an individual's perspective on any given topic.

Bull **** with some letters behind it like, PHD or BA, but at the end of the day it's still BS.

I hope this doesn't offend you but IMO that's the truth. Common sense wins at the end of the day.
