I would, but he has to respect me to if I wanted to stay. But I would do anything for the one I love, I would give my life, so yes I woul do it.

It sounds exciting, but I can understand your trepidation (that is, if you are not just posing a generalized question). Adapting to a new culture can be exciting, but also Will take some time and can be lonely.
I think one would need to ask themselves some questions:
- Do I have any interest in the country, their culture and language? (have you actually visited this country?)
- How much time would I spend with the one I love while adjusting?
- How often would I be able to call my family and friends?
- How often would I be able to visit my family/friends?
- How supportive would my family/friends be?
- How long would we be living there? Short term or permanently.
- How would my standard of living change?
My husband and I are considering moving to Sweden, and I have been asking myself these same questions. It's a lot to consider, but you only get one shot at this life and the experience will be one of growth and excitement. But the positives definitely need to out way the negatives.
Good luck!!

I'm on his side of the river...
I would like to leave the USA, but my wife doesn't want to. I do respect her wanting to be close to her family and all. I too have family here, but with todays means of travel going to another country isn't that big of a deal. You can get to the other side of the world in less than a day...

Actually, since my wife just left her country for a better life, I do not think we would move anyway. She knows her country would be too poor to live in. She has grown accustomed to this lifestyle, even though we do not have much money according to the standard of living in the U.S., but it is still more than her country. She made the decision to leaver her country, which I know was not easy for her. I have no problem visiting, but I would not live there even for her and she would not ask me to.

I would do anything to make him happy because love means giving happiness to the person you love and ego has no place in love.
Infact in India a girl has to leave her parents house after marriage but they stay connected through telephones and mails etc.

The only family I have left is a sister and we're not that close, so I'd probably go. Oh, but I couldn't leave my kids!!!
