First off I wasn't 100% sure where to put this so I picked Skin and body as a good place.

So okay, it has been three months of wanting my nose peirced and so far im getting closer to getting it. All I would like to know how mony people have it done, does it hurt, and how old where you when you got it?

Please no rude answers...
Example- Eww, why do you want your nose peirced.

Honestly I do not care one bit about what you think about it being done it is my body not yours.

I was 19 when I got it the first time, they did a titanium hoop which hurt like a mofo. I ripped it out after the first night. When I was 21 I went back and requested a nose screw. Nose piercings are done with a needle. Many places will only pierce with a hoop, as they say it's the safest and easiest to heal. I persuaded them to do it with a screw and explained what had happened with the titanium. It hurts just like an ear, and you have to do the same thing, twirl it around, clean it a few times a day, just like an ear. Only thing is once you take it out, it WILL close up QUICKLY. I miss my nose piercing. If you can handle ear piercing, you can definitely handle nose piercing.

I hardly felt mine. (nostril not septum - those hurt a LOT from what i have heard) Make sure they do it with an needle and not with a gun like they use to pierce ears. A ring will be easier to take care of. I switched to a nose screw for work - the nose bones I always had problems with as if you leave them in a long time the hole tends to shrink done and it is hared to remove with the little knob on the end.

Oh and I got mine when I was 38 several years ago. Piercings are not just for young people. I see a lot of secretaries and other professional women older than me with nose piercings.

I agree, I really dont think you should care about what people think... you are an individual with your own decisions to make.

I think a nose stud is beautiful so there is nothing for anyone to remark about. The piercing itself doesn't hurt it feels like a pin prick and then your eyes water for a while. I had my belly button, tongue and the hard bit of your ear pierced and neither of them hurt (well, the tongue hurt a little more than the others).

Good Luck and Good on you for taking on this decision.

I was 17 and i will be honest it hurt like hell but it was worth it. It is meant to be one of the most painful piercings. I got mine done with a needle but they reckon a gun is less painful and ask to get it numbed cause i didnt and ppl who have had it numbed reckon it didnt really hurt! I say go for it!
