Abortion should not be used as a means of birth control. There are many cases in which abortion is merited such as rape and if the pregnancy is life threatening to the mother. I do not believe partial birth abortions should be performed-EVER. They are cruel and immoral. I cannot say I wouln't have an early term abortion because there are circumstances in which it would be the right decision for me and my family. I don't believe it is necessarily right or wrong but I do believe in a persons right to choose whether it be about this or about what color shirt they will wear today. I don't believe there should be a small group of people in this country that should decide for me or any one else what I should or shouldn't do with MY BODY. If we let them decide this, what will they want to decide next for us??!!?!?!

I don't believe teenagers should be able to get an abortion without the consent of the parents, it is a medical procedure and is very dangerous and there should be a responsible adult present. I also believe the parents and teens should go for some counseling prior to and after the abortion. Sometimes, it is a good choice for a teen pregnancy to be aborted. Depending on the age of the CHILD it can be life threatening. If the teen does go through with the pregnancy, they have no means to support the child (enter Welfare and food stamps), no health coverage (enter medical card), and no stable family for support. I know some will say adoption is an option and yes it is. It certainly should be considered during the counseling sessions. There are many wonderful people out there who would love to have a child of their own.

Abortion should not be taken lightly. At the same time it is not be taken to extremes either though. It is crazy though to shoot and kill the doctors who perform this procedure. It is crazy to stand in front of the clinic and picket and scream and make a horrible situation worse.

it is wrong. regardless of if the child is a day old, it has already come into being so it is living. it might be the woman's choice, it might be between her and God but it is wrong. Besides any person who feels he/she would not be affected in some minor way when you knowingly end your child's life is lying.
In my opinion, it shouldn't even be thought about, not everytime you have sex that you get pregnant, every human has a purpose and if you feel you have a right to end a person's life because he/she has not been born yet, it's still murder.
if you feel you're doing the kid a favour of being unloved or put in a system, that's an individual choice, you're just trying to make yourself better. there're many pple who want kids in this world.
If you don't want to be faced with the choice of whether or not to keep your child, then don't get pregnant - luckily we're in an age of where it can be prevented.

I am pro choice, but with reservations. I believe it should be available, but as a last result. NOT as a repeated method of birth control (just get yourself sterilized!), and NOT past the 1st trimester.
That said, during the 1st trimester, the nervous system is not developed to the point that the fetus would feel pain; it is not sentient, and could not survive outside of the womb. If a woman must have an abortion, I believe we should give her that option.
This is difficult, b/c I suffered 2 miscarriages, and emotionally, I considered them my babies. But intellectually, I realize that at this early stage, they are not "babies" as we know them.
However, if we don't give women the right to choose, who is going to help them raise their children? Are all the "pro-life" people going to open their wallets and support these children?

Didn't you read the community guidelines? Asking for viewpoints is to be asked in chat rooms and this isn't a chat room. This is for questions with specific answers, not opinions. The question doesn't belong here.

I am 100% PRO Abortion. It's a woman's right to choose. Those who say it's "against god's will" really don't have an argument. It's between the woman and god. Those who say it's murder aren't analyzing the whole picture. It seems obvious to me that they don't understand the child would never experience pain. Also, the child wouldn't be born into a world where it was not wanted, hated, abused, etc. Also, it's hard to adopt and hard to be adopted, even for a newborn.

Although I don't believe abortion is good, I respect the rights of individuals to do what they need under certain circumstances. There are certain situations when abortion is ok.

I believe that human beings are defined as individuals by their DNA. A mother and child/ unborn baby, have two completely different sets of DNA, therefore I believe abortion to be wrong.

I think in certain cases, such as incest or rape, that abortion is acceptable. I also think that others should not force their viewpoints of abortion onto others, since we do not know what other people are going through.

for me abortion is an unforgiving sin because you have killed a person and not just any person. You have killed your own child. Why did you have to make one if you know you cannot handle the responsibility you are going to give to your offspring. The bible said thou shall not kill.... And if you are going to do abortion because you don't want a child then you are disobeying the ten commandments.

First of all I believe in Womens's rights. There is one thing that disturbed me, and at one time I was on y'all's side until one night I was watching a special on PBS concerning abortion, and actually seen the abortion take place right before my eyes. I could not believe what transpired into the documentary a little later.
This young lady was in her 26th tri-master, or whatever you.call it
and she did get an abortion . Do you realize what length of time 26 weeks is? It is just over six and one-half months. My sister had an early birth at seven months and the baby weighted just over four pounds, 15oz's. Yes, just 1 ounce from six pounds. But at twenty-six weeks, or one week. This is nothing but MURDER.
Pure and simple...Just my opinion....Rody
