We've all done it...blurted something out and regretted it instantly, so you follow it up with "Just Kidding". How often does it work for you? Know anyone that abuses it and you start to wonder if it's ever sincere?

I mean what I say, if I say just kidding it is only a spin I put on it...

It works for me all the time, and I do it at least a couple of times a day. Yes, I do know someone, and I do wonder if it's ever sincere.

I have foot in the mouth disease...a little too often. I often add "just kidding" or say that didn't come out right. People know that I tend to say what ever pops into my and I am always trying to make amends.

I have a friend who once asked what time it was and quickly followed with, "I'm just kidding!"

I'd say that as long as one doesn't do it too often, using that excuse could work most of the time.

I have done that about 10% of the time and only about 5% of the time does it actually work.

Yes, I've done it. Notsomuch anymore though. I've grown to accept the truth of things, and believe thats what people should expect from me. I have offended people and frightened people, but noone has ever misunderstood me, they all know that I'm just being honest. It makes people reflect on themselves when they deal with people like us.

More times than I can count! It at least gives you a couple extra minutes to think of how to explain it better with less insult.

I don't do it but my step daughter does it all the time, she is the most annoying, irritating 12 yr old I've ever met.

Too many. I try hard not to use it. I had a teacher in college that said, "In every sarcasm is a biting truth." I think he was right.
