Which sugar?
Sucrose (common table sugar or cane sugar) is C12H22O11. The structure is shown on site one below:

Glucose (or dextrose, but chemically 6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-2,3,4,5-tetrol) is C6H12O6.

Fructose (or levulose but also called fruit sugar) is also C6H12O6 but it's structure is different than glucose.

It depends on what type of sugar you are referring too (glucose, fructose, lactose) but a good rule of thumb is sugars will always contain C, O, and H, and in the following amounts Cn Hnx2 On. Hope this helps.
