My son has ADHD and he is incredibly bright. He is very intelligent for his age and I wouldn't trade his for the world. With any child it's always a risk that something might be wrong with them. You just never know. They might get ADD, so what, if that's the only thing they have to overcome they will be lucky!!! I know someone who is a doctor who has ADD. If you graduated for college you can't have too low of an IQ. I am going to school right now and it's a struggle. When you find Mr. Right, I'm sure you will want children and God willing they will be healthy smart babies!!
Good Luck

Well speaking from someone that also has disabilies and a low I.Q, you have one of two options A: you can except who you are and except your future children disabiles or not...love them like you would any other child, or option B: Look for a smart man and the odds will even out and you will have a better chance of having a regular child.
But gentics are a funny thing if your chromensomes match well with your mate that odd are high that you'll have a normal health child.
But life works in mistous ways cuz both my parents are smart normal people and all my brothers and myself have learning problems...it all has to do with chromensones and genes and how the brain is form...its all nature!!!
But I would stop worrying, cuz you had Add and other disabilies and you made it though all your schooling plus college that is awesome...you are an imporation to all that have disabilies!!!
So keep your chin up and take pride in yourself cuz what if you have a child with learning problems you will teach them to strive for success like you did...life is too short to worry what offspring you'll produce...look as every child as a gift from God (if you belive in god).
- I hope this helps ya!!!

You sound like your pretty practical and smart (went to college) don't let these fears worry you. Children are a gift no matter what. Even so there are so many unwanted kids also, think about adopting also.

And there might be no problem. Healthy people have kids with problems all the time. There are no guarantees. If you want children, you should have them.

Adopt and give love to a child that would otherwise go without.

If you graduated from college then you haven't let your problems ruin your life. Why do you think your children wouldn't be as strong?
