What kinds of things do you love? Go for that. You don't want a job that you won't like, here's a theory my grandpa had, and my dad agreed, and I think I do too, it's not really work if you're having fun, meaning, if you're enjoying what you're doing, it's just fun and not truly work. So use that, do what you love, and whatever that is go for it. Hope you find it too, God Bless!

You can try speaking with a guidance counselor. Also, books describing different college majors are good places to start -- http://worldcat.org/search?qt=worldcat_org&q=college+major+handbook&submit=Search
That site also allows you to search for a library near you (by city or zipcode) that has a specific title.
Also, you can use the free Occupational Outlook Handbook (http://www.bls.gov/oco) put out by the U.S. Department of Labor. Use the search box in the upper right corner to search for a specific job (or use the menu on the right side). The handbook has a section that describes the training/qualifications/degrees required for specific jobs. In addition, the site lets you know the prospects for a specific career over the next few years (obviously just an educated guess). It's a good resource for finding a career fit :-)

What did you enjoy doing when you were a kid? They say that the creers of people who are doing what they loved as a child are the creers which are the most rewarding. I always liked building forts and clubhouses, Now I'm a general contractor. I get alot of satisfaction when I pas by a building I built.

Probably you should talk with your advisor and maybe even take an aptitude test or two. Sometimes there are so many choices that it is hard to choose. Another consideration is what lifestyle you want, how much money you will need after graduation, total these all up to see what you need to do.

General education. Most people don't know until later on anyway. I start off in psychology, went to foreign language, and then finished in Project management...and now I am a professional writer. Go figure. : )

Go to a career counsellor either at the school you're interested in or your local employment agency and they can give you a test that will help you with your interests & what you excell in and then take it from there.
