While it is natural for species go exinct and new to species appear during the course of evolution, where biologists become concerned is when this natural progression is upset as a result of human activities. Advancements in agriculture and medicine allowed the human population to explode, industrialization lead to a rapid depletion of natural resources, and market capitalism resulted in the highest per capita consumption of resources than ever before. While it used to be a widely held belief that natural resources were unlimited and that companies could dump waste into our vast oceans without concern, our knowledge of the impact of our activities upon the natural world has lead to the development of our ecological awareness and an acceptance of our responsibility to live harmoniously with nature. This has resulted in changes in our culture, evidenced by environmental protection laws and the fact that many people voluntarily recycle trash. Protection of endeangered species is just another manifestation of this new awareness. Biologist are often particularly concerned with species that are being driven towards extinction not because they are being out-competed by other species, but because of irresponsible human activities. The fact is that we can push Mother Nature only so far, but once a few cornerstone species disappear, their ecosystem may collapse. As part of the biosphere it behoves us to take care of our environment. It would certainly be many orders of magnitude more expensive to deal with problems later than sooner.

All the various creatures add to the spice and color of life in the world. These species vanish one by one then we would be left nothing but a world without color .As it is life iis usually full of problems for many. After all these varieties of species will keep the color of world alive. Ask the question yourself wouldnt you want to see and tour the species if you ever get the chance. its a shame the forests are vanishing adding to the green house effect. They are necessay to get away from it all as they say.

No one can make that judgement, especially when we are usually the reason for the animal being endangered in the firt place.
Most people think nothing of worms, only good for fish bait. Yet worms are very useful, they fertilize soil, aerate it and break down hard dirt into topsoil. Something we need to grow vegetables, plant orchards and flowers.

we not only other people must save the endangered species because if one of those species will be extinct, the food chain will be change or broken which harmful for us and also if one of this species will be extinct, ther will be an ecological imbalance!

the "danger" of allowing "endangered species" to continue to become extinct is based on how they are interrelated with all other species of organisms on our planet...its all based on the principals of food webs, and ranging from niche to habitat all the way up the line to ecosystem (ecology portion of textbooks)...if all the species of a particular type of frog die out, then the particular species of insect they eat begins to grow in population...the more that insect population takes over its area, the sooner it needs to spread out its territory into others...with too many in populations to control by any other organisms, or if they out-compete other insects for habitat, then all this started a traumatic chain reaction...all because one species of frog died out that used to eat so many bugs each day...!!

If they're endangered because of us, then we need to try n save'em cuz we're not supposed to extinct them in the first place. Not cuz they might have a purpose
