Too early to say but for now, no. They're both great players but I don't consider them even close to Magic and Bird yet. Remember that both the Celtics and Lakers as teams dominated during that era. The Heat won one championship, but they didn't dominate the Eastern Conference all season. If Wade and the Heat get to the Finals again next season and the Cavaliers make the playoffs into to the conference finals the next two years then it would be a great rivalry especially if they face the Heat in the Playoffs consistently. Right now I consider the rivalry closer to 1992 Michael Jordan vs. Clyde Drexler. Two great players but on totally different teams that never developed a rivalry year-after-year.

Probably not, since it would be a rivalry built on media hype. For it to be a real rivalry, they can't just play against each other, they would have to both lead championship level-teams that can legitimately fight for supremacy. That's what made Magic-Bird such a good rivalry, it wasn't just one versus the other, it was one versus the other to get to their team to the title. If one of them isn't part of a team that can legitimately compete for the championship, then it's not a true rivalry.

seems fine, but they have different games, and different styles to be compared in this way. Lebron is a marketed player, and D-Wade is more coached and more of a point guard.
