When I was having contractions I turned on my side and bit the sheets and just prayed to God to get me through it! As far as actually "Giving Birth" just push as hard as you can. Depending on if you get the epidural or not you're either not going to know what they mean by "push" (with the epidural) or it will hurt so bad you don't want to push (without epidural), either way, you're gonna have to! Good luck! Congradulations!

Just enjoy every minute of it and think of who you'll be holding in your arms after it is all over with. I will tell you, that if you walk a lot prior to (during your pregnancy) and have sex as often as possible, except after your water breaks, then things will be a lot easier on you. I learned this with both of mine. I didn't have any pain meds, no epidural, nothing and I was only in hard labor for 5 minutes with the first one and a little less than 5 minutes for the second one. I was in and out before I knew it. Good luck to you!

You should get the ''what to expect when you are expecting'' book at walmart. And also, my advice would be to get an epidural and to push as hard as you can like you are having a massive bowel movement. Try to sit in an upright position while pushing as well. Take some birthing classes at your hospital....this helped me alot!

Push. Doesn't matter what anyone says to you before. It all goes out the window when you are in labor.
