I dont think that there is any really normal size for a baby. I think they say between 6 and 9 pounds is pretty normal. It also depends on the size of the parents. My first was 6 pounds and 18 1/4 inches. My second was 8 pounds 2 ounces and 18 1/2 inches and my last was 9 pounds 1 oz and 18 3/4 inches. I think usually babies are about 19-21 inches when they are born but for some reason mine were shorter, however, my youngest grew 3 inches in the first 6 weeks he was born, maybe he just didnt have much room to grow?

Most full term newborns weigh between 6 and 9 pounds, and are between 18-22 inches long. There's a lot of leeway on the weight, as long as it's not less than 5 and a half pounds. There are some babies who are only around 6 pounds at full term, and there are others who are 9 pounds +. (The biggest baby I ever knew of personally weighed in at 10 lb., 7oz., but he was also somewhat overdue.)

the average weight is 6-8 lbs at birth, but if your dr says the baby is healthy, the baby is healthy. Beyond the birth, it is very very individual for the first few months of life, which is why drs rely on growth charts. You can google growth charts, or many parenting books have them in the appendix (What to Expect the First year is one such book)

My wife and I have 3 kids and they all weighed about the same
our oldest (girl): 8 lbs. 1oz, 20.5"
our middle (girl): 7 lbs., 19"
our youngest (boy): 8 lbs. 11 oz, 19.5"
They were all healthy, id say 7 pounds is a good healthy weight and about 19-21 inches

At 7 months Noah substitute into 21 lbs. and around 28 and a nil.5 inches. he's now 10 months previous and is 22 lbs. and in all probability around 29 inches. She is amazingly tall, yet it extremely is nice. Are you and her daddy tall human beings? it relatively is in all probability why.
