I dont know about the scariest,
BUT I LOVE SAW one and 2.
Not good acting but great stories.
The ring scared the Crap out of me.
I love scary movies, Good ones are hard
to come by now a days!

The Exorcist, I was Reagan's ( the girl in the movie not the former President) age when the movie came out and I still can't set and watch it.

ALIEN by Ridley Scott, 1977. From the build-up, to the horrific entrance of the baby alien, to the overall look and design of the creature, planet, and crashed alien derelict, this one had me plenty freaked for years. Much better than all of its sequels combined, the last half hour had me almost ready to pass out.

When I saw The Exorcist (when it first came out), I had to leave my light on at night for a week. That movie was pure evil.
The original Psycho, also, horribly frightening.

In my opinion it would have to be Haunting of Hill House, that was a great movie, but kinda creep(and for me that's sayin' something 'cause I don't get scared during so called scary movies)
