Sim rejected means that it is not in the slot properly or installed wrongly. Take it out and put it back in again and everything should be fine.

The phone isn't compatible with that sim card. It won't work. The phone is looking for a newer sim card for instance in the Cingular world in a new phone you must have a 64K sim card. Older cards won't work in the new phones. Try your sim in an older phone and see if it works. As one of our sales folks says, " we want the right sim in the right phone on the right network." Sounds like you have a wrong sim in a wrong phone. Good luck.

there are two possibilities
one complaint of phone or sim card
in case of phone you can check it by using other simcard
in case of sim check it in other phone
other chances
you did not install sim properly
or
may be your sim credit expired [This is a major chance to this complaint]

it means the card holding all the info came out. (think of it as the same as a memory card in a camera. anyway, just push your phone back into place (usually the case gets out of shift or something. mine does it a lot) it'll work once its back in.
if you can't get it to go back in, just go to a radio shack or something
