Why do some women get on to their man for using profanity?

Because women have better sense than men do ...most of the time. When it comes to profanity its just not pleasant to hear and there are more intelligent words that can make a woman feel a little more proud of her man for having the tack and taste for using such words. It makes the woman have more respect for her man too!

I only get on my husband when he uses it toward me, because I don't use it toward him. Unless it is because of a joke and I am laughing. But I use profanity, so why should I be a hypocrite? HE can use it, just as long as it is not directed toward me in any way at all. It is very disrespectful.

It's not acceptable at all times like out in public in front of others. There is a time and a place for it and whenever cuss words were developed they were not meant to overtake english and replace every other word out there. You can get your point accross without it!

because it's dirty and crass and something that should be left for locker rooms...not around their woman. (unless, of course, it's used in the bed room...then bring it on..:)
