It could be heat rash, or if they are really itchy then it could be an allergic reaction.
Are they itchy?
If he has any trouble breathing, wheezing, his throat/mouth begins to get scratchy, or if his face/ears/etc. starts to swell then you should go to a hospital immediately!
If it's just the hives then give him some benadryl to slow the reaction down till tomorrow.
SEE A DOCTOR as soon as possible to find out what he may have been bit by. If this happens again you want to know what it was and ways to stop or prevent it.

Sounds like poison oak, poison ivy, or maybe it is a reaction to a sting. Worst case scenario it is shingles. I suggest going to a doctor to find out for sure, and not work outside until he finds out what it is.

Could be jiggers or hives, or even poison ivy if it blisters up.

Immediately have him take Benedryl...it should stop almost any allergic reaction...........if he starts to have trouble with his breathing.... you MUST go to the hospital and he will get a shot to stop the reaction.
