Hell no, i think that the US should claim Mexico itself and forget about these poor immigrants that are crossing the boarder to find jobs they could just say here the country is yours for the taking because your country is now ours! Why isn't Mexico a state? It should be we are connected to it and heck we have all the jobs it would be a simple solution. This way they could get rid of boarder patrol. And before you ask hell no I don't think we should take that by force i think it should be by mutual agreement. You see if we ever do suffer an approaching Ice age up here in the North we could all just move south with out problems sort of reverse immigration.....

Texas was a part of Mexico. A dispute arose over taxes and control of the people. The people rebelled and lossed at the Alamo. Many of the people were Americans and Mexcican, so we decided to take back the Alamo and Texas. Now G. W. Bush is allowing the Mexicans to not only take back the Alamo but our Nation with out a shot being fired.

Texas was lost to Mexico after the US / Mexican fought between 1846-1848. (Mexico lost two-fifths of its land to the U.S.)
The war followed the annexation of Texas in 1845. Texas was part of Mexico, the US initially attempted to buy it for $1 million, an offer that Mexico rejected. Andrew Jackson then offered $5 million, but Mexico still refused to sell it - the result was an invasion of Mexico by the US.

No. Mexico lost a war. In this world, there are three ways for nation-states to gain land: they can discover it, purchase it, or conquer it. We conquered it, so now it's ours. And if they'd like it back, they can either purchase it or conquer it. It really is this simple.
But what good would it do if Mexico got it back? If California were given to Mexico, California would move into the third world--just like the rest of Mexico--within three years. All the wealth would instantly move to the control of the ruling elite, and the remaining 99.9% of California would start to look, sound, and smell like Tijuana. And suddenly, everyone would become unemployed overnight--just like the rest of Mexico.
By the way, this is why we don't want Mexico as a state. It would be like if someone came over and said, "here's a porta-pottie that's spilling over with CRAP, smells like heck, and has a million flies circling it." Do you really want that?

No. I think all of Mexico actually belongs to the US.
In fact, that would eliminate the whole illegal immigration question. Imagine what would happen if Mexico become the 52nd state? (Canada will be the 51st. ;-)

The US southwest did not exist until the Calvary was brought in. If people want to come here to work, they should be given two choices --the right to apply for citizenship or the right to come and go.
