I have no motivation to go into work. I work in a warehouse. The pay is great, but I hate it about 50% of the time. Has anyone ever quit a higher paying job to go to a lower paying job and regretted it? Thanks for the input.

I have heard that is is unhealthy to do something that you do not enjoy doing. This is a matter of personal choice. Their are other good paying jobs out there, but you need patience. If you find a different job with almost the same pay and you think that you would like it better than the last job, give it a try.

Remember though what is your priority. Just a job to make good pay or are you thinking of earning a retirement in your later years. You need to take everything is consideration. Also this depends on your age at this time. Do you have a number of years to find the right job and plan on a retirement for your later years. This decision is yours alone. Make sure you make a right decision and you will not regret it.

I taught for many years at a state school for severely handicapped and had to quit and go teach at a public school (for a lot less money) because the job was physically becoming too much for me. I had 8 kids in my class all over 80 pounds and all in wheelchairs. My back was giving out. Now, 7 years later and finally catching up pay-wise, I am regretting it due to medical insurance. The old job had GREAT benefits and now I don't have that and need it. Now the stress is surviving month to month trying to pay medical bills for my hubby. I think I should have sucked up the back pain and stuck it out with the old job

i quit a job that payed $14 an hour, i worked 4 days a week, 12 hours a day, as a tech support person, i quit because of the stress and being under appreciated, and my boss was super rude to the employees. i don't regret it because now i work at home and love it, i help local homeowners save big and i earn big in return, i also attend school full time, if you have 5-10 hours a week to spare you can do it to, you are your own boss, call and get a free info pack sent to you and find out what im talking about 1800-365-7550 ext 61583 you will not regret it.

A great time to quit would be when you feel that the jo is not making you happy. Though the pay is good, if that pay plus what you are doing is not enough to make you ready to get up in the morning and go to work, then it is just not enough to make you want to stay. It's time to quit!

honestly... I provide up being a intense-college instructor and faculty professor because the scholars were lazy little emo punks (rich community) and the instructors were union pushed liberals. They made existence hell for a US military Officer who'd in basic terms lengthy previous into the Reserves... harassment and truthfully hate-mail and treats when I deployed to Iraq. Now i'm living luckily off the lawsuit settlement ($275K from the State / District as a results of threats and the refusal to rehire me after my Reserve duty... a contravention of the regulation). Took that funds and moved out to the country and grew to develop right into a rancher / farmer / vintner... easily artwork rather in my new college District because the children listed the following are experienced to take heed to, behave, and obey.

Yes, I've quit a well-paying job that I didn't like, but only when I had my next job lined up. And, it worked out fine.

You are much more attractive to a potential employer if you already have a job - it's like they have to "lure" you away from your existing employer.
